Doctoral, Postdoctoral and Group Leader Positions in Organic Monolayer Device Physics

The Precision Monolayer Devices Group, part of the CAS Key Laboratory of Soft Matter Physics and the National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics, is currently looking for research fellows in the physical, chemical and engineering sciences. We are seeking highly motivated candidates, eager to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, as well as to participate in collaborative activities within the Beijing scientific, technological and industrial scene. Our group comprises state-of-the-art computing, nanofabrication and ultra-high vacuum facilities. We focus on developing technologies and studying emerging physics in precision molecular architectures.

A total of one assistanttwo doctoraltwo postdoctoral and two group leader positions are available. Group leaders are encouraged to apply for a CAS associate professorship, a CAS 100 Talents or National 1000 Talents program, within the first year following the appointment. Positions are available in the following subjects:

o Ultra-high vacuum laser-induced desorption-ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry, atomic force microscopy and photoemission electron microscopy of carbon-based systems at insulating interfaces

o Computer-aided prediction, design and preparation of charge-vibrational and exciton-photon coupled architectures

o Nanofabrication and layer-by-layer deposition of supramolecular heterostructure devices

o Monolayer photoresist engineering

o Organic superconductivity
